Nature's Sunshine Food Enzymes combines enzymes, bile salts, pancreatin and betaine hydrochloride to support the body's capacity to digest meals. This formula includes pepsin, which is used for pre-digesting proteins in the stomach. Betaine HCL supports an ideal acidic environment to facilitate the activity of pepsin. After food reaches the small intestine, the enzyme pancreatin supports protein, carbohydrate, and fat digestion further.
